CROP Walk Sunday October 5th, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
The annual CROP Walk took place on Sunday October 5th at 1:00 PM. The 3 mile walk started and finish at First Church of Lombard, 220 S. Main Street, Lombard. There were 100 walkers total - and we helped raise over 20K! We raised much needed funds to address food-insecurity across the world through Church World Service and here in DuPage Township through local food pantries. CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk fundraising events held in cities and towns across the United States, created to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. After a CROP Hunger Walk ends, 25% of the funds raised is returned to the host community to support local hunger fighting efforts. 25% of the funds raised from the Great Prairie Walk will benefit the following local organizations providing hunger relief: Community Table, Lombard Disciples Food Pantry, Villa Park The Outreach House, Lombard United Community Concerns Association, Elmhurst Food for the Soul Food Pantry, Addison |
