Weekly Weeders

Among the various planted areas that surround the Church of Our Saviour are selections of bulbs, perennials and annual plants that provide a succession of color throughout the growing season.  Several of these areas offer benches and statuary to entice parishioners and passerby to pause a moment for quiet prayer and meditation.  Others include nature prairie plants that provide sustenance for the bees, birds, butterflies, and insects that populate our area.  While most plant selections have been made with xeriscape principles in mind, to conserve water use and reduce maintenance needs, the usual gardening chores of planting, watering and weeding are always needed during the growing season, and we welcome any who would like to join us in this soul satisfying ministry.
